What is the toddler package? It’s the trickiest package with the best and worst review, with the biggest tips and pickiest customers. It’s similar to our character packages, but for 2-4 year old birthdays because tiny kids can’t really participate in most things we offer. It’s a way for us to book a ton of parties we would otherwise lose and get you the biggest tips, but it requires you to bring your biggest personality to your parties!

We tell clients:

  • They can pick from a clown, fairy, or pirate
  • We may honor some special requests for Christmas characters, cartoon characters or princesses
  • You do balloon twisting (and possibly glitter tattoos) for about 60min depending on how many kids
  • You do 30min songs/games

The games we include in marketing are:

  1. Singalong / Repeat after me songs
  2. Easy games kids are familiar with
  3. Parachute Games

You’ll also have a bubble wand to use for additional games, but the parachute games are a big selling point so always have it with you.

If the space is too small for the parachute that’s fine, you just have to have it with you for every party to meet marketing requirements.

Activities you can include:

  • Balloon twisting (this is the best)
  • Glitter tattoos (if you need to eat time)
  • Parachute games
  • Repeat after me songs
  • Silly Stories (if you have a story book and it seems appropriate)
  • Hula-hoop and bubble wands
  • Background music (if we didn’t provide you one, ask for speakers)
  • A group photo with everyone before you leave

What you should expect to bring:

  • Balloons, glitter tattoos, and face paint (always bring all of your stuff to every party, just in case!)
  • Your unicorn speakers and music player (and honestly your entire princess box if you have one, just in case)
  • Parachute
  • Your storybook and possible puppets for silly storytime
  • No one has ever regretted coming over-prepared.

What is the toddler party package NOT?

  • Parents pick a toddler party when they do NOT want just an art station.
  • A toddler party is NOT a seated station.
  • Yes, you have your time where you are doing balloons.
  • But a toddler party is interactive and uses a lot of space.

What is the toddler party package NOT?

Clients ask for a toddler package instead of a seated art package when:

  1. Their kids are too little for face painting
  2. They want activities for kids that keep them busy
  3. They want a character for a party theme
  4. An entertainer, not an artist

What are the biggest challenges in a toddler party?

Lack of interactivity! What separates toddler parties from artist parties are:

  1. You are using the entire time for a mix of games and art
  2. You are engaging everyone and entertaining them
  3. You are moving between your balloon station and other parts of the room or building
  4. You are bringing out your biggest personality!

BONUS TIPS:

  • Make a good first impression by introducing yourself to everyone
  • If you’re an introvert or nervous, a good way to stop yourself from falling into the common trap of “just sitting there” is to stand while doing balloons and not sit down at all. (This works for Marissa!)
  • If you’re struggling with the kids, involve the parents in playtime
  • Be over-prepared with extra activities like glitter tattoos if you want to eat more time
  • Learn more songs and games than you’ll ever need at a party, just in case! Over-prepared is the name of the game!
  • Break up your 60min of balloons and 30min games into chunks (ex: 30 balloons / 15 games / 30 balloons / 15 games…. or, 15min balloons, 1 game, 15min ballons, 1 game…. and so on)
  • Hydrate!
